A Constituency Website Launches
The launch of the constituency website that once used this domain.

From the archive. Between 1998 and 2003 this domain carried the constituency website of the Member of Parliament for East Ham. This page keeps one of its items as a historical record, with the original date restored. East Ham Ledger, which publishes the site today, is an independent magazine and has no link to any MP, party or Parliament; contact details and the names of private individuals have been removed, and lost pictures have been replaced with credited photographs of the places concerned.

Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham, today launched his new website. The site, which can be found at http://www.stephentimmsmp.org.uk, is designed to enable constituents to contact their MP more easily, and find out what he is doing for the area.
The site contains full details of Mr Timms' surgeries, where constituents can express their concerns and ask for advice on problems. It provides weekly updates of the MP's activities in East Ham, and the campaigns he is working on. There is a news archive which records what Stephen Timms has been up to in East Ham over the past few months, and recent press releases can be found in the press release archive. Some of the MP's speeches on various topics are available on the website, and there is also a section which outlines his responsibilities as Minister of State for School Standards.
Mr Timms commented: "I hope my new website will be a valuable resource for people in East Ham. My aim is to make it easy for people to contact me about the issues that matter to them - everything from local problems to national government policy".
